Motto

“Staying committed to singing praises to God”

Mission

We are tasked with providing songs of Zion with praises to the Creator, also hoping to inspire lost souls to come to Christ Jesus.

The Senior Choir of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church has indeed surpassed through the years. This choir is surely one of the first choirs originated here at NPMBC.

Standing the test of time are four members with longevity: Sister Doris Longmire, Deaconess Clarece Denning, Sister Elester Brandon, and Deacon James Utley. These individuals can give factual information on this illustrious choir’s existence.

Rehearsals and Engagements

The Senior Choir rehearsals begin with scripture and prayer. Following our practice, we always give reference to our sick and shut in, to whom we send cards of cheer and encouragement. Our choir rehearsals are always on the Saturday before the first Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The Senior Choir renders music on the first Sunday of each month and any other times when requested by our Pastor. Dr. Nathaniel Wood. We meet in the choir room 15 minutes before service to dress and pray.
More about the Senior Choir Although the choir is relatively small in number, the opportunity to assist our pastor in elevating worship service on the first Sunday morning each month is a phenomenal experience. We sing from the depths of our souls to glorify God and His presence in our lives.
